I'm sure this question gets asked all the time here, but what was your favorite book as a child? Do you have any fond memories associated with the book?

Do u use ecobuddy & ecofriendly notebooks ??

{ Ok please bear with me & read patiently }

Sometime ago i had asked whether people used ecobuddy notebooks {such as " Navneet "} or not.

Now with saving trees u can also help in educating the rural mass.
I mean the notebook " Classmate " is ecofriendly. Its a quality
product marketed by ITC.
There are still millions who only dream of school while we got
all the facilities, school , college, computer , internet. But for them its a dream !.
ITC is helping some of them realise this dream.
For every " Classmate " notebook u buy, ITC contributes Re. 1 to its rural development initiative that supports, among other projects, primary education in villages. U can be truly proud that your contribution is part of it.
Only Classmate uses India's first eco-friendly, elemental chlorine free paper from ITC.

...in matters of love and life.

Goethe: male author who educates men about women : : female author who educates women about men: [?]

I'm aware that some who answer may want to dispute my premise that Goethe is such. Before doing so, though, I would hope these answerers have had the sense to have read at least a few of the poems he wrote while in Strasburg.

Okay, so I've just completed 'Lucas' by Kevin Brooks, and I enjoyed it a lot. The only issue I'm having is...I'm looking for a bit more romance. Nothing like the novels they sell in grocery stores with Fabio posing on a horse for the cover... but a substantial plot with good romance.

During this book, Lucas, there was a scene where Lucas was beating up this guy who tried to rape the main character Cait, and after that happened I wanted her to run to him and they could be happy together, maybe a kiss, because, she was obviously yearning for it. But he's the loner dude and didn't go for all of that, for reasons that come around at the end.

And I respect that. That was a fantastic way to write this particular novel.

But now.... I'm ready for some romance.

Do NOT suggest Twilight or else...ugh. Just don't do it.

Anything else is open. =)

I'm just wondering if there are any books about the transformers? Not comic books but actual novels with significant story lines, not just background or anything like that. If there are, are they any good?

I heard that a Tom Clancy novel contained classified information which ending up getting a Navy Seal killed. Any truth to that? I suspect it is just a stupid rumor, but Clancy does know a lot about all things military.

I just read the book "Rage of Angels" by Sidney Sheldon, in which one lady (Helen Cooper) gives the main character (Jennifer Parker) something called "Wyoming". Whats that? I tried to google the name...but apparently Wyoming is a republican state. The lady concerned drops her voice and tells Jennifer softly that she's gonna give her Wyoming. The chapter ends there. What can it possibly mean?

I think "Little Altars Everywhere" moved me so much because I could see the women of my childhood in the characters. My oldest daughter read it and still calls me Vivi when she is teasing about an uppity remark. I call her my Petite Yaya, because she remembers the elephant ride. The follow up, "Divine Secrets of the Yaya Sisterhood" filled in a few blanks, but was not as moving to me as the first book.
