Okay, so I've just completed 'Lucas' by Kevin Brooks, and I enjoyed it a lot. The only issue I'm having is...I'm looking for a bit more romance. Nothing like the novels they sell in grocery stores with Fabio posing on a horse for the cover... but a substantial plot with good romance.

During this book, Lucas, there was a scene where Lucas was beating up this guy who tried to rape the main character Cait, and after that happened I wanted her to run to him and they could be happy together, maybe a kiss, because, she was obviously yearning for it. But he's the loner dude and didn't go for all of that, for reasons that come around at the end.

And I respect that. That was a fantastic way to write this particular novel.

But now.... I'm ready for some romance.

Do NOT suggest Twilight or else...ugh. Just don't do it.

Anything else is open. =)

Well I know that this book is not a romance. But in case you might like to read about muder mystery. Here is a really good book to read. The author is Jessica Fletcher & Donalad Bain. It from the show called "Murder She Wrote."

Enjoy;

If you liked Maximum Ride, you would probably like other books by James Patterson, such as Daniel X. The Hunger Games (Suzanne Collins) and The City of Bones (Cassandra Clare) are both equally awesome. Definitely worth a read. The Audition by Ryu Murakami. Very suspenseful and thrilling, and the movie was just downright creepy! You might like the books by Ellen Hopkins. There isn't much action (it depends which book you read) but they are amazing books, all heavy and very realistic. And you could always read the Harry Potter books. Hope this helped! Good luck book-hunting!

Remains of the Day is an excellent suggestion. Avoid people like Danielle Steel if you're not into Fabio related romance.

If you want strong, I suggest the classic, not a whole lot of stong modern romance novels.

Wuthering Heights
Gone With the Wind
Jane Eyre
Pride and Prejudice (actually anything by Jane Austen)

Enjoy!
