Only Harry can kill Voldemort, but I think Snape will die as part of it. Harry will realize that Snape and Dumbledore planned Dumbledore's death in order to defeat Voldemort. (Don't ask me how this works, but I think it will become clear in Deathly Hallows.) This fits the pattern that anybody who protects Harry -- like his parents, Sirius Black, and Dumbledore -- dies.
On the other hand, my wife thinks that not only will Snape live, but he'll become headmaster of Hogwarts.
We'll find out in just over a week . . .

No. You're forgetting something. The prophecy says that ones going to kill the other. Snape won't kill Voldemort for Harry. He despises James Potter, Harry's dad, so he wouldn't save Harry. Its a good guess, but I highly doubt it. Why would Snape kill himself for Harry when he hates him?

Snape will not kill Voldemort, remember the phrophecy? Only one person can kill Voldemort! And it is either Neville or Harry cause both were born on June and both had both grew up without their parents.

that is something along the lines of what i always thought!!

but i think snape will die SAVING harry, and then harry will kill voldemort.
ps. the phophercy states that one has to kill the other.

No - but I have heard Harry looses his powers as a result of killing Voldimort and therefore must return to being a muggle.

Since the book has not come out yet and NO ONE knows anything about it, anything you hear is pure speculation. We will find out finally next week.
