"Our Man in Havana" by Graeme Greene It's hilarious spy fiction.
If you're looking for something sad to read, there's "The Power and the Glory" by Graeme Greene or for a sad story of southern small town life, there's "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" by Carson McCullers.
If you are a grown up and like mysteries, I would recommend the books of Nevada Barr and Sue Grafton. If you are a younger person, you should know that these are murder mysteries with some very detailed descriptions of violence and there are some references to the personal sexual lives of the main characters that may be inappropriate for younger readers.
