How does one find out if a book's copyright is over or up for sale or something like that, I don't eactly know how to ask this, there is a series of books from the 60's I am interested in and was wondering if there is away to find out who, if anyone, holds the copyrights

The "Anne of Green Gables" series or the "What Katy Did"series. Can you suggest other books of that type?

Also know any books by Victoria Holt besides "Mistress of Tremellyn"?

Which Daphne du Maurier book do you think is the best?

I am really starting to worry about my A-Level English Literature Course that I will be examined on May/June this year. Are there any teachers on here that can help with texts from The White Devil by John Webster and the AQA World War One Poetry section. If you know also where I can get past papers on these, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

I'm writing a fantasy novel where the villain emits flame. The problem is I don't know how I will describe his victims when they burn, I don't want to look at the pictures of burn victims.

So I'll just ask some forensic experts on how can I describe them literally. I also need some small knowledges about burns but please I don't need pictures. I don't want to see it. I just need descriptions.

Outside the Eastern gate
Are girls many as the clouds;
But though they are many as clouds
There is none on whom my heart dwells.
White jacket and gray scarf
Alone could cure my woe.

Beyond the Gate Tower
Are girls lovely as rush-wool;
But though they are lovely as rush-wool
There is none with whom my heart bides.
White jacket and madder skirt
Alone could bring me joy.

Well I would like a few good books to read! I like Go Ask Alice type of books. I am not into the love stuff and nothing about god. I am into the psychology type of things.

I can't remember the page, but did anyone else notice that in this book, when Slughorn (was that his name?) was talking to Harry, he asked about his friend Rupert. Was this a goof, referring to Rupert Grint, or is there a character named Rupert in the book??

I was reccomended a book a few weeks ago but I lost the peice of paper that I wrote the name on!

Its written by an autistic boy with asberger's syndrom. He is telling how he sees the world. I think it is fairly new. I think the title had something about the sky being blue. Sorry I don't have anymore details. Can anyone help?
