I am writing a book and I need some names for 2 cities and a country for my story! The cities should have different sounds to them, they are in different countries. (not to be picky, but please don't say something cheezy like "magika" or something)
Thanks!

I really love reading, but I generally only read the books that everyone else knows of (ie. harry potter, a series of unfortunate events, all the roald dahl, sisterhood of the traveling pants, some current bestsellers, the classic school books).

I want to find new, exciting books that are similar to these types of movies:
Bridge to Terabithia, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Walk the Line, Big Fish, Moulin Rouge, Garden State, Zathura, Little Manhattan, Little Miss Sunshine.

Just a feel good, inspirational, moving story; although my favorite movies are Fight Club, Memento, American Beauty, etc., I don't want to read these types of stories.

I prefer adventure and fantasy to action and nonfiction.
and NOTHING SCARY, as i like to read close to bed time. =)

Anyone know any fun/incredible books that are similar to these types of movies/genre?

btw i am in highschool.

thank you!

wrote this last night. my names nicole. its really strange. i cant beleive i wrote it.

Nicole slid into the bathroom getting ready to hop into the shower. she turned on the water, as the water bounced off her cold hands onto the shower floor she glanced at the door. Noticing it was unlocked she quickly locked it so no one would walk in on her. Finnally she made it to the shower. With on push into the shower the water made a feeling as if it were burning her skin. Reaching to adjust the tempature she accidentally pushed the conditioner,Shampoo, soap and finnally the razor off the shower shelf. As the razor sliced her leg as it flew to the floor, Nicole reached for her leg trying to stop the pain. The blood made a path threw the boiling water into the drain. Not only was she inpain from the slice but the water was still sizzling across her slim body. Mixed with the water and blood was now tears. She felt weak. She couldnt even stand on her own two bleeeding feet.

Does anyone know the title of the story by Poe in which a prisoner makes a deal with a coffin maker? The coffin maker makes the prisoner a coffin with air holes in it that he is supposed to be buried in, then the coffin maker is supposed to dig him up later, and they will escape together. But, after he has been buried, he discovers that he was buried with the coffin maker. Does anyone know what it is called? Thanks!

well, it's not like I miss her if that's what you think. I'm glad to be back to my quiet routine, I'm no Queen Victoria, no in Memorium open in my lap, no "dark house by which once more I stand", no longing, as Odyseus for home, or the bitter sadness of Sexton's lonely poems, growing old, fading, not inconsolable Manfed, or melancholy Septimus Smith, or Ahab staring in silence across the starlit sea, or faithfull Job awaiting Gods divinity, I am not like these, I have my dignity, my pride, a lie that brings me sleep each night. I reckon he has to be good...
I mean, if JKR was really going to make him evil, it would make no sense to put the Spinner's End chapter in Book 6, she would make it a surprise that he was evil, or gradually build it up... Putting his 'plans' in the second chapter goes against the complex plots she normally has. Also, it serves no purpose really - if she wanted to show him as evil, there are many better ways I'm sure - the chapter shows that he's willing to protect Draco, a loved student of his, and is therefore not evil. Plus you can already see in tht chapter the doubts Lestrange has about him - in order to be a double-agent he needs the trust of Death Eaters - by killing Dumbledore he'd get this. Plus Dumby wouldn't plead for his life. And what else would Dumby and Snape have been arguing about than the unbreakable vow/malfoy? If Snape was arguing about wanting to go to the other side, he wouldn't TELL Dumbledore would he?!
