I really enjoyed the 2004 anime version, and I would like to read the book that spawned the movie. However, I have been told by several different people two things : some tell me that Turniphead was in the book, while others say he has. Was he or wasn't he?

I need ideas about writing a different ending for the book The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn. I have no idea what to change. Any ideas from people who read it would be great. What would you like to have seen happen? How could i make it more tragic or less coincidental?

I remember the story being about a future world where people who are exceptional are fitted with devices that make them not so exceptional. For example, one man was really smart so they fitted him with something in his ear or head that made a high pitch noise whenever he started to think so he would stop thinking. Also, a good ballerina he was watching on TV was fitted with chains and weights so she couldn't move as well as the others. Some had bags over their heads because they were prettier. I believe it ended with someone who as tired of the devices and stuff coming into the TV studio and shooting people especially the ones in charge.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about??? It's a short story I read in English class in high school and I'm not even sure it's Ray Bradbury but I think it was.....

When the publisher interested the 2 or more chapters you sent to them. They should asked you to give all the complete manuscripts. How really is the procedure? They could steal the manuscript, aren't they?

I am writing my first novel that actually made it past the first chapter. I am very excited and was wondering how to go about copyrighting before I try to get it published. I have a friend who is a notary, is that sufficient or do I have to copyright and how do I go about that? Also any tips on finding an agent would be helpful.
