I have the same problem: my school has a limit of eight but I am taking 14! I think that, as long as you know you will be able to focus and get good grades, you should take all ten. Quality is better than quantity and 7 A* only is regarded better than 11A* and one D. Just choose the subejects you enjoy and know you will do well in. If you can fit them in, go for it. Good luck.

Note to above answerer: A GCSE is a General Certificale of Secondary Education. In Britain they are taken in year 11, by everyone, and are studied for during a period of two years.

You might want to clarify what a gc ses is. I have done a little research on it and nothing even remotely addresses what it is that you might be trying to look for.
