Thoughts on the book?

I said to my friends:
"There is plenty of grief, so little joy.'
And I left, covering my face;
I lost the ring.
My friends said:
"We looked everywhere for the ring,
on the sandy shore,
and among pines near the small clearing."
One more daring than the rest
caught up with me on the tree-lined drive
and tried to convince me
to wait for the close of day.
The advice astonished me
and I grew angry with my friend
because his eyes were full of sympathy:
"And what do I need you for?
You can only laugh,
boast in front of the others
and bring flowers."
I told them all to go away.

and know of any other good ones?
thanksss. <3

I'm interested to know your experiences-- Do you think your eBooks was worth the money? How many pages was the book you bought?

If you've written an eBook-- Have you made any money doing it? Do you advertise it yourself or do you have affiliates?

Thanks in advance for any and all answers. I'll check back soon to see what everyone has to say! :)

I've just finished The Divide, by Nicholas Evans. I have here Judge & Jury by James Patterson, Prior Bad Acts by Tami Hoag, Black Sunday by Thomas Harris, and Broken Flower by VC Andrews. I like all the authors, and while I want to get a chapter or two into the next book before bed, I'm too tired to choose.....so you pick for me.

I used to love this book in the 70's-80's that was a kids book about cars that would somehow pile up and I think there was an elephant in the story. They might have even been punchbuggies but I can barely remember the details. Sorry, if any of this sounds familiar and you know the name I would really appreciate it. Trying to track this book for years. Thanks

In the book 1984 by George Orwell, the main character, Winston, is 'taken away' at the end. However it is unclear if they shot Winston or if they tried to re-assimilate him into socieity. What do you think happened to Winston?
