Yes, and it happens to be my favorite book in the world. I love every part of it. It's been my favorite book ever since I was about 12 or 13. Even though it is a teen book and I usually read longer books, it's still my favorite.
I love Spaz and how much he cares for Bean.. That was what attracted me to the book in the first place.

No, but I've read Freak the Mighty. I looked this one up and saw it was by Rodman Philbrick too. You might like some of William Sleator's books too-- The Duplicate especially. It has to do with time travel. I really liked Diana Wynne Jones' The Homeward Bounders; another time travel tale.
