The best story you can write will come from you...your imagination and your ability to tell the story. There are ways of receiving inspiration. One author said that he takes a normal situation and then asks, "What if....?" and then lets his imagination run with it. Another writer stated that writing about what you know, writing about your life, may seem uninteresting to you, but if you live in Texas, out where the rattlesnakes roam, then someone from the icy regions of the far north may not find your windswept Texas range story boring at all. What may be "everyday" to you can be a whole new world for me. Your perceptions, your imagination, the worlds you create can become anything you want them to be. Something I used to do...years ago, when I was very young...was to write short stories based on my dreams. You said your story needs to be realistic. Keep in mind that it has been said that truth is often stranger than fiction. There have been news stories in the past several weeks that are definitely weird, yet true. Take the things you know and play with those ideas. Brainstorm on paper, naming one thing (such as a baby brother or sister) then fill the page with words that describe him or her. Don't even think about what you should write. Put down what comes to mind. Finally, one of the best pieces of advice I have ever received was from one of my writing instructors in college. Write through your writer's block. Just write. If you hit a blank wall, keep the pen moving, keep typing whatever comes to mind. Don't give up, and eventually, more often than not, you will be able to pick up a thread of thought that relates to your character or setting, and the words will again flow. Keep up the good work! It's admirable that you enjoy writing so much that you have run out of ideas! Just keep writing. The words will return. You will be able to fill that blank page...

You could right about the current problems with young kids nowadays. GO into a vivid eralization on the life of middle schoolers. She cuts herself (but doesnt no why), she goes to oral sex parties (but doesnt like the guys or the girls), she's not being rebellious just exploring--but her explorations lead her into a state of being "emo" but this instead of just being a phase becomes a big part of her and she becomes completely depressed. By 13 she's already on antidepressants and going through an endless downfall in school. What saves her?

Or Something happier

A 12 year old is inlove with a boy that is much older than her, he's already in high school. Instead of just ignoring her though, they hang out all the time...go from there

Or if you like fantasy....
A young girl, visits her grandparents ranch and over turns a rock that leads to a small hole in the ground in which is hidden a little chest. Inside the chest are three rock like images covered in black. The young girl takes them home, polishes them day after day until they are completely clean and they turn out to be precious gems. One night three young men are arguing in her room and swords are drawn as they argue who should love and serve the young girl. The young men should turn back into gems under some circumstance, give the young men characteristics that are totally different...add some stuff

good question!
there are already a couple of good ideas up... there are also a couple people who are just not so nice... eh.. anyway

I would say the answerer GH has a good suggestion... can't remember everything she wrote there.. but... take a character in their everyday situation and you have a scene... intro to the "what if?" or removing the safety of daily life and you have a story.... take it from there... mid-crisis.....

any writer will tell you this:
write from experience; ie. write what you know... draw from your life... whether fantasy, sci-fi or set today....
write who you know... every character will carry pieces of people who have influenced you... friends, family, yourself.... do not use your friends, family on a whole mind you.... but, look at characters after and you will see them within... giving a character intentional traits of people around you is dangerous ground true... so without permission... don't...

just take an issue (a chapter) in your own life and write your story... from a fantasical point of view (fantasy, sci-fi) or fantasical conflict everything else mundane...

thanks for listening
hope I have been able to help

a pair of female who dies no longer without delay, like somebody murders her, and then, human beings attempt to rescue her, whether that is too previous due and he or she's lifeless.... ...yet no longer. formerly her physique grew to become into "lifeless" , she had at the instant come out of the physique and now she's a soul, who needs her physique back. She wanders searching for a physique and ultimately unearths an injured guy who might die any 2nd. Left without different decision, she comes to a decision to take him. She has to circulate into precisely while he's death. whether it takes him an prolonged time to die, and as she waits, she slowly falls in love with him. and at final, she does not decide to circulate into his physique, so she comes to a decision to help him stay. She could talk to him in his desires. yet that guy's situation is getting further and further severe. Use your mind's eye for something.

Grab the reader from the first sentence.

"I didn't do it! I was set up. Just like in the movies."

Then find what she didn't do, like steal someone's purse and then she found the purse under her chair at school.

Or,

"The pup just followed me home, really, Mom. Why don't you believe me?"

Or,

"I didn't write that note. I don't care if my name is signed on it; I didn't write it."

You need confrentation immediately. Something has to happen immediately. Then take your time to solve the puzzle.

Don't feel bad I have the same problem with my book right now. Let's see have you considered she has mental powers, or maybe and this going out on a limb, she's a vampire, silly I know. Here's another, maybe she doesn't know her heritage and when she goes to find out about it she finds mystery and magic. Email me if this helps.

Write about a girl who is so uncreative that she needs to consult other people, online, for a copywritten idea that later leads to an unoriginal book and a lawsuit.
