I've written a few e-books, and bought a few. I make much less from my e-titles than from my paper ones, but it's been a positive experience on the whole.

Hello,
Good question ! ;-) Yes I write ebooks and I offer them in a membership site I own. Peoples "rent" the resale right of my ebooks and they keep all the money they make.
This membership web site is on line from august 06 and membership is great for that business. I write 2 ebooks each month... great job ! I don't use ghost writer. I write each one all by myself. It's my personal business and I make a living on line with it now. It's for the french market.
You can see my web site here: http://www.pretavendre.com
Hoping it will help you.

I've recently sold short stories to an ePublisher (which also publishes full-length books.) I've been very pleased with the formatting of my story and the publisher has lots of cross-promotion marketing strategies for marketing the stories and books they sell. I haven't received my first check yet because they don't pay advances (yet - they are growing and soon will, I'm sure) and they pay quarterly. But my fellow authors at the site are very pleased with their revenues.
ePublishers are rapidly increasing in popularity and I can't tell you how many people have asked where to find various downloadable books here at Yahoo!Answers.

I've had seven books published and five of them are still available in ebook format. The income is pretty small, but my readers seem pleased by the quality. Go to http://www.fictionwise.com and do an author search for Ellen Anthony. You can look at the ratings and preview the books for yourself.

I've purchased e-books, and been relatively pleased with them. The ones I bought had previews so I knew what I was getting beforehand.
I've also edited an e-book which is quite successful. It's not for sale, but is part of a course and the author is quite pleased.

I sell ebooks on my website at www.christiandomesticdiscipline.com, and also on Lulu.com. It is a nice second income for us--not enough to live on by any means, but it helps. I do my own marketing, and I am now getting into publishing. Since my subject is a niche market, I sell mostly to those interested in the domestic discipline lifestyle.
