I'm doing a stained glass project in my, well, stained glass class. I created a great design for a mermaid-mosaic, but considering it's a school project, I can't do a tasteful nude as I had anticipated. Does anyone have any ideas on how to cover her up?

Keep in mind, I'd like to stick to ocean-y elements, but I want to stay away from the overdone Disney clam shells.

There is news that Scientists in the USA are expecting to announce in a few weeks their success in creating artificial life out of inanimate materials. It may be a very simple form of life, but that living being would just be born from manipulation of chemicals..... how would Bible followers explain this away or deal with this development?

I mean obviously he wasn't the first and the Native Americans rarely get their credit, they migrated across a bridge from Asia. And Colombus actually only discovered the Carribeans.

I want to change my last name because I feel discriminated. I want to get ahead academically and professionally. I was thinking of changing my last name to Kennedy but was not sure if I should. Since my current last name begins with an A, I wanted an last name that begins with an A. If not, then I would appreciate all suggestions for a good, meaningful, Caucasian/Anglo name.

Thanks

Steve

Recently I have become obsessed with the entertainment industry, especially acting. I need to know first off how to break out of this shell I'm in. I also need to know tips and tricks on auditioning so I can kick this career off. I'm not intrigued by the glitz and glamour but by the entire lump of it all. How can a teen figured it out? :-(

I'm looking for Mary Cape's birthday. She was married in 1860 to Isaac Mayfield Morgan. They married in Adair County, Kentucky. I don't know when or where Mary Cape was born. I don't know her death date eather. I'm assumeing she died in Adair County, Kentucky like her husband. Do you think you can give me any good ideals where else to look? I've tried ancestry.com and rootsweb.com. I know that Mary was Isaac's second wife. His first one was Bidsey Helen. I also know she died after December 18, 1876. That's when she had a son named Samuel J. "Tilden" Morgan.

I have seen paintings on art.com and you can clearly notice the metallic-ness (I know thats not a word but you know what I mean) of the paint. I went and got some "Pearl Ex" pigment at the art supplies store to try to get the same effect. I even bought just plain silver acrylic paint and tried mixing it with the color I want. I still can not get the same effect as I see in the paintings on art.com. What am I doing wrong or not doing at all that I need to do? Did I even buy the right thing to mix with my colors? Because its annoying me to no end! I sit there for ever fussing around with the paint and mixing...and adding and more mixing...I cant ever make it how I want it. I am new to acrylic painting but I am constantly reading up on it and I can not find the answer to this question anywhere. Anyone even know what I'm talking about that could give me any tips??

Do you think one god or omnipresent or almighty whatever you call be able to manage the Universe? I believe there must be one God for one solar system or at least one per galaxy. Any one agree/disagree?

And no, I'm not an over-emotional 14year old. And I'm not big on religion. Everything is just too simple and pathetic. Your born, you live, you die. The universe was not religiously forged. Humans are not the imbread relatives of adam and eve, it is being scientifically proven that all life started(and in most cases ended) from an asteroid and the tiny little germlike microorganisms(which disturbs me since i am mysophobic) on it evolved to all living life including the extremely flawed human beings we all are. Nobody has pure intentions anymore. The whole world is always fighting about who's "right" when theirs no such thing anymore and its really just the emotionally decided opinion of one person that infects a large quantity of people and those uninfected are evil little ant demons. Keep in mind I am not unstable or suicidal, I just can't pretend everything's fine and wonderful and ignore all these questions that pop up in my head.
