One God with a great sense of humour and irony. He gave us the tools and then sees what we will do with them. There is too much in the universe for him to micromanage. In leadership terms he is a Laizze Faire Leader.

I'm going to go ahead and ignore the idiots that think they need to start throwing around Christianity because YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY NOT A TRUE BELIEVER AND THEY NEED TO SAVE YOU.
Anyway. A totally legit question. There have been tons of polytheistic religions throughout the ages, and for some reason they often seem to have some sort of higher level god ruling over them.
Let's take the Greek gods as an example. The Greeks had many, many gods, ruling over many, many things. Yet, there was always Zeus - all powerful, I'll kick your *** if you disagree Zeus. Interestingly, he never really got involved. My interpretation of Zeus from the Greek philosophers, poets, and historians I've read is that he didn't get much involved with much that went on below Mount Olympus. He seemed almost managerial in his position. While there were a few situations that he got directly involved in, it was more often than not the lesser gods that had the major roles, and at times would go to Zeus for help when they could not find a solution.

There are many Gods, How ever there is only one true god. It says in the bible that God made the heavens and the earth. He made every thing we see and can't see. They only way to find a true answer to this question to to pray to God about it. Maybe he will guide to the answer. Or tell you when you get to meet him. Either way there are answers to every thing but God won't tell them all to us now. Not every thing can be answered when we want it to be. Just believe on faith that we will find the answers we are looking for, when we need them. some people ignore the answers if it not what they want to hear. Some people don't try to look. I am sure if you pray about it God with direct you to the answer. It might be no so be prepared for what he might say. Read your bible also it can guide you in a way you never thought you would go but it is what God wants you to know.

When one is a God, there is no limit to his capacity. That is why people think that God is iinfinite. The capacity and ability of the infinite can not be logically assumed or understood by human minds, which by definition is finite.
The logical contradiction shall be of trying to comprehend the infinite through the finite.
So one God is enough and more for any tasks!!
In Hinduism there are many gods and goddesses. But they all are written usiing small letter'g', as they are not the ultimate reality, but only temporary phenomena for people to reach the ultimate reality throgh these gods and goddesses. Fot the hindus too, there is only one ultimate reality.

Until you accept the one true God - you will always consider yourself God of the universe/solar system/galaxy and etc-because you will always interpret life in the concept of how it affects you.
My God is not only omnipresent but also omniscient and omnipotent. He lives in and outside of time, all the time. He created the universe. He created you...and he loves you so much that he sent his son to die for you - in the flesh - so that you might live beyond the day to day struggle of life...
His name is Jesus, and he is alive. He arose from the dead...and his story is far from over. Just say his name and you'll feel something inside you. He died so that you and I can live beyond our own sins, and even beyond physical death.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16.
I have only a few answers but I trust my God has all the answers that will be made apparent to me when I am in his presence.
I hope that you will talk with someone you know and trust about the question you have asked here today...
Be well and I'll see you..

I do believe there is only one God. To be God means to reign supreme over everything else. God has all power and knowledge. There are no limitations on God-if this were true, He would not be all powerful. I don't think God needs help to do anything. People who believe God needs help may suffer from a lack of faith. If He made the earth by Himself, why would He need someone else to run it for Him? That's how I see it anyway!

It looks highly probable to me that the Supreme God must have created many gods to help Him run the system... these gods may have clearly assigned duties to perform and characteristics to display so that the grand Universe never fails God's will.
If one can believe in one God, why not many many gods?

I think there's not point figuring out whether there's a God or not in the first place. It's not like we're juggling very well with our lives anyways. But as far a personal perspective, i don't believe there's god.
