1. Were the present day borders of Austria ever part of the Roman Empire?
2. Were the present day borders of Hungary ever part of the Roman Empire?
3. I remember reading how Caesar crossed the Danube as a symbol of how he couldnt be stopped but he just turned around after he proved his point. Did the Romans ever cross the Danube after that?

I have to do a group project in my History Class. You have to do a Collage of the following: What is an American? What America means to me, and My Impressions on the United States.

So my impressions of the United States is that we have a president that's on crack, we're filled with illegals (I have nothing against the illegals because my parents were once illegals). . . I could go on but I'd get in trouble for saying all that. So I need some ideas on What Is An American, What America means to me, and my Impressions of the United States.

I have a degree in creative writing from a top university, but still have no significant credits yet. How should I go about getting published in a reputable magazine or web site for the first time? Is self-publishing the way to go? I have short stories that are done, but I am not sure where to send them. I know I need an agent, but trying to get one without ever being published just isn't going to happen. Any suggestions?
