Truth is defined by its being unchangeable or eternal..... that which wouldn't differ at different points of time.... in a way timeless that is existing as such for ever.

We are living in a world that is infested by constancy of change to such an extent that we can define time as change and we would be oblivious of time if there were to be no change. In such a situation, real truth for us is merely defined by repetitive consistency and therefore it is just relatively stable belief. Absolute truth is merely a concept for us which we can never 'realize' so long as we are bound and affected by time.

Depending upon who you ask today, the question "What is Truth" will get you very different answers and, perhaps, lead to even more questions. Here are some current thoughts on truth:

There is No Absolute Truth.

But wait a minute! This statement is making an absolute claim to truth. It defeats its own claim.

Truth is Relative.

Does that include the statement that truth is relative? It would have to, making this statement invalid since no claim to truth can be made by this statement, including the claim that truth is relative.

You have Your Truth and I have My Truth.

And if your truth and my truth are in conflict, what do we have? Can there be conflicting truths? If so, then how do you determine what is valid? If my truth is that there is no God, and your truth is that there is a God, does that really effect whether there is a God or not? Saying that we each have our own truth may make us comfortable but we would have to not care about truth to say this, because no matter what my experience or your experience tells us, the truth exists as it is.

Truth is within You.

Seek truth within yourself and you are back to what your experience tells you or to what you want to be the truth. Your perception may affect you and be true to what you want to believe, but it does not affect what the truth really is. Your experience and belief could be telling you that something false is true.

So what is Truth?

If you're tired of wondering or of playing these mind games, consider that maybe truth is not all that complex. Maybe it is something a child can grasp. Maybe truth is a person. The God-Man Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

Will you be like Pilate, who asked "What is truth?" (John 18:38) right after Jesus said to him, "And I came to bring truth to the world. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true," (John 18:37b)?

Or will you be like the Roman officer who saw Jesus die on the cross and said, "Truly, this was the Son of God!" (Mark 15:39)

As Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, " (John 11:25) and "I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved; and shall go in and out, and find pasture," (John 10:9).

The semantic field of the word truth extends from "honesty, good faith, sincerity" in general to "agreement with fact or reality" in particular.[1] The term has no single definition about which the majority of professional philosophers and scholars agree. Various theories of truth, usually involving different definitions, continue to be debated. There are differing claims on such questions as what constitutes truth; how to define and identify truth; what roles do revealed and acquired knowledge play; and whether truth is subjective, relative, objective, or absolute.

Is what cannot be dennied. Something that is above of perception where it can be good or wrong. Is generally founded when you're looking for an answer, and as well is not always what you thought to find, and usually if not open minded it will make you see things as they are, so no too much people is ready to, so for that they don't find the truth, just what their eyes want to see.

Truth doesn't necessarily mean 'a proven statement'.
Truth is 'anything anyone wants to believe in'. It may be the reverse of the real truth, but it would be the conceivable truth to him. So truth could be as fragile and weak if there is no FAITH in it. For truth to survive, we need the strong acceptance within that absolutely favors our belief in something. So if I say "I believe in God.", no outside force can sway me into feeling otherwise... And so, this is the TRUTH.

This is the existential question haunting mankind since ages and no one has been able to tell in words. that is to be experienced.

Only Untrue can be narrated in words and when one comes to grasp this Totally, will cease to ask what is true.

Like, if you want to see light you need to light the lamp. to remove the darkness light the lamp. so if one wants to know the truth, the untruth has to be thrown, and ways to throwing can be found by looking within. daily sitting in secluded place. Experimenting with self only leads one to experience the truth. No trip to Marry Go Round of Verbosity can help let one talk for eternity.

What any man's mental capability can dream up. Whatever you woke up this morning thinking was the truth. Truth is not rule. It is not a code to live by. Man merely creates it in his own way, either adapting those truths of other individuals, or turning inward for clarity.

The unvarnished fact of any statement or meaning being transmitted to others. It is beyond bias and half projected words. It is an illumination of what it is not an illusion or religious belief. Take the truth for its own real perception and not what you interpreted or what you think you heard.
In Truth there is light.
