One can argue that the soul does not die, by reminding of the fact that it gets out of the body.. It's somewhow moving away from this dying matter..

But how can one argue that there is a soul? Is there a scientific proof that the soul exists (I don't think so) So how can you philosophically spport this arguments (or the opposite)

Its clear that if one is naive one seems to not have any problems or feelings of sadness; no matter what one does not know enough to not be happy--even if things would be the same if one was aware. One just sees the world the way it is and not see all the negative aspects of humanity--and therefore, always content and not knowing anymore.

Btw I was pretty innocent til the age of 17 1/2, maybe too innocent even. I remember when I was in middle school, and friends would invite me places, and I'd never go. It was only the last dance that I decided to go. Even through the first three years of high school, I didn't change much; I was still not very expressive nor open--but people were nice to me for I was a sweet soul. The thing was that I was never bothered by my lack of engagement with friends, I just was, until one day when an experience opened my eyes when I was 17 1/2 and I saw what I've missed if I had continued to be innocent and naive. I think I was slower than most people really. I guess that it was a good thing…my revelation. I found a willingness in myself to be more open and expressive, and I succeeded. With that my eyes were also opened to many other things, and I found myself knowing things beyond most 17 years old or even young adults who are in college. I had achieved a sense of total awareness and a desire to search for answers. I dunno, but I wondered whether that is truly a good thing. What do you think?

Life is funny I guessed : ]

I want to write a story with vampires.

My motivation, of course, is Twilight and all the sequels by Stephenie Meyer.

I've wanted to write a vampire story for a long time, but I could never really think of anything that made sence or that sounded good to me. So I kind of just called it quites for awhile.

But after reading Stephenie Meyer's work it got me really wanting to start writing again.

Any tips? Ideas?
Anything??

Thanks!
:]

Thanks.

using there imagination. do they not ponder on what existence actually is or is that just a "waist of time". when ever i ask if they believe in anything outside what we know/see etc.. they often say "whats the point, we will never know"

but i find it fascinating just to see what my imagination comes up with. i don't believe in any religion or god but i do find pleasure in asking myself questions. my brain comes up with amazing images and ideas as to what exactly we have in-front of us. like if there are different dimensions.

like reading about string theory and m-theory just amazed me as a child, the thought that we can only perceive the three spatial dimensions and have only knowledge of our travel through the 4th (time) really opened my mind. there could be so many more.

so do atheists ever ponder over these ideas and enjoy just trying to look into there minds. or is it a waist of time, and we would be better off just worrying about our own little world that we have made?
