Audition Songs For Chicago

Go with a musical theater piece that shows off your belty voice and that has some character. All of the mezzo parts in Chicago tend to be saucey, so go with something that will showcase you that way. Here are a few ideas:

Kansas City:...... Smokey Joe's cafe
Gooch's Song....... Mame
Big Spender....... Sweet charity
Whatever Lola Wants.....Damn Yankees
A boy like that....... West Side Story
At the ballet..........Chorus Line

Hopefully that gives you some good ideas. Good luck with your audition!

Well, think about songs that Chicago likes, when you find one, people will love to audition because they probably know that song. Good luck!

Break a leg first off! Hope you get the role you want!

I would go with 'I Don't Know How to Love Him' from 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. Its very melodic and has a nice range for plus its quite emotional plus you can belt the 'I never though I'd come to this..' line the song.

Hope that helps!
