Observations. I often give this assignment to writing students. Sit in the food court at the mall and observe people. Write about them. For instance, focus on one specific bench or chair. Watch the people who sit in it as they come and go. Write about them. What they are actually doing, why you think they are at the mall, who is with them, how their mood is, how they react to others, etc. It is a fascinating exercise. Pax- C
I was once given an interesting writing prompt. If two birds of a feather flock together - exactly how many feathers are we taking about? 1000 words. Exactly. Fun to write.

There are all kinds of topics for short paragraphs just write what youre thinkin, something about the weather,write about what uve been up to. You shoud have written youre question a little more Specific like what youre writeing about it just depends on what u want to write about to know what a good topic for a short paragraph is!!!
