Or just sometime between the 1970s and 2000. This is for a project of mine and I need something popular from this time period.

Lasagna was popular all the time I was growing up in the 1960's. My Mom made it from scratch... it was great.

She used to cook the noodles first, prepare the dish and then bake it.

Today's noodle box has a method where you don't cook the noodles first. I've tried it and it is good, but not as good as Mom's was.

g-day!

I wasn't aware that lasagna was ever UNpopular.

It was (and still is) my glory dish for company--and my brother even uses it to impress prospective romantic partners (who WOULDN'T like a man who can cook?? :-) ).

I learned to make lasagna shortly before I married in 1973, and I see it far too often in its frozen state in grocery stores and on restaurant menus to think that it's lost its vogue.

We ate it at my house. But I never remember eating out until I was about 12! Seriously! We went to McDonald's and it was such a treat.
