I'm answered a number of questions on Yahoo! answers about suicide, or in general about people not excited about living life. In almost every thread, roughly 80% of the responses are similar to this:

"You have some serious issues and you need professional help"

What I don't understand is why do we chastise people that find no joy in life, that obviously there must be something seriously wrong with someone not happy to be alive. I know there is this popular belief that life is a gift from God, and that it is far better to exist than to not exist. But what about the people that don't think life is a gift, but a curse. Why do we tell these people that the problem lies souly with them, and if they can't deal with it, then they have "issues". I am happy with my life, but I can understand why someone wouldn't be. Why can't someone just die if they choose to without being harassed about it?

I want to start teaching myself photography because i cant afford to take a class in it. My question is, what is a really good digital camera for that....good quality but i am a college kid on her own so i'd like to keep the price low. Also, what do people use to edit photos for example make some things color in a black and white picture? Is it just photoshop?

Wizards can do magic, while muggles seem to be better at everything else. For example wizarding society is woefully behind Muggle society in nearly every field of human endeavor from philosophy (lacking Plato, Nietzche) to math(nothing beyond basic arithmetic) even though they have been around longer. Their knowledge and education is so limited because it only centers on magic, while Muggle schools teach things like science which actually examines how nature works or foreign language. As Hermione said, "Most wizards don't have an ounce of logic." Without logic their is no intelligence and so the average Muggle is probably smarter than the average wizard. Wizarding society is woefully backward with "cruel and unusual punishment" like Azkaban and no good art forms, no Da Vinci, U2, or even Judy Garland . Subjects at Hogwarts like Transfiguration are a joke compared to fields like physics. I'd rather be a Muggle and smart than magical. Any thoughts on this?

I have a problem I usually encounter when I try to write a story or a screenplay... It's like a form of writer's block where you've got most of the story in your head, you've got the basic structure laid out, but you get so bogged down when it comes to researching and connecting the details to the main story points that you tend to put writing off until you're not feeling lazy to do it.

Anyone else get this? How can I get past that "laziness" phase?

I have a Kodak EasyShare C340

It worked at first for the most part.... but for some reason the batteries wouldnt keep it charged. I sent it in to get fixed and they claimed they fixed it but it wasnt. So I just left it alone and tested different batteries and then one random day it decided to work.

THEN... for Spring Break I brought it to Jamaica and for the first few pictures it worked but after about 3 all of a sudden all of my pictures have these vertical lines on them. If i take pictures of landscapes its all white. If it's upclose sometimes it gets a face but the background has all these white lines on it. The color is disoriented.

I'm so sick of trying to take it in anymore because it seems like all they do is send it off and give it back 2 weeks later saying it's fixed with no change.

Anyone know what could be wrong... or should I just get a new digital camera?

(I feel bad getting a new one. My parents gave me this for Xmas about a year and a half ago...)

Help!

Forgotten like socks
Underneath teenage beds my existence lied hidden from my eyes
In grade six
Until Caucasian lips
Forced poetry into lesson plans
Witch then forced my mix hands
To feed words onto blue lines
Giving me the freedom to regurgitate memories for a grade
Dried tears lied in the middle of note books and these note books became my own history books because in grade seven it became apparent that
Yellow skin does not have a section in social studies text books
Suicide thoughts came from pen points like thunder in a rain storm
I drew my scars with pried only to hide the pain I felt
Then I fell for a stuttering slam poet
Whose poetry never stuttered and if it did
Well poetry taught me how to look past that
Funny how our eyes only met between stanzas
Poetry helped our hands meet in every line brake
I carved memories of a beautiful mistress on lose leaf
Verbally drew salted water falls on scrap paper
And fought bipolar battles with ink

I have written my auto biography
Not up to now but up to last night

I write children’s books for my son he loves them and learns allot from them too. He is a highly advanced 2 year old and so far it has been attributed to the time he spends reading books, particularly the ones that I write. However I am a stay at home mother and have little money to be spending on prospects. Please if anyone knows who, what, when, or where I can get a Childs book published for free fill me in. I would love to share my books with the world; also it would be nice to make some extra spending money. I also illustrate is a couple different mediums. Please help me!

Many a time I’ve studied models in fashion and photo magazines for inspiration when wanting to paint a portrait and quite often I am impressed and sometimes amazed by the expressions conveyed in the poses, by the settings themselves or by a combination of both.

I’m just wondering how such impressions are created? How much of it comes from the coaxing or coaching of the photographer? How much of it is left up to the model to provide? What percentage of these wonderful expressions and impressions are purely spontaneous? What percentage come about by ‘accident.’ By accident I mean you take a hundred photographs and a few are usable. And what percentage of the settings, the backdrops are chosen by the photographer and what percentage is ‘suggested’ or ‘demanded’ by the client (like by a magazine or dressmaker, etc.)?
