You are absolutely right.... you hit the nail on the head..... we are all the same in spite of all the differences and uniqueness that we perceive in ourselves..... it is our ego that drives us to first strive for being one up on others and then makes us believe as though we are superior to everyone else. Every leaf on a branch in a tree is indeed different from every other leaf over there... does that make any of those leaves any superior or inferior than any other? Our ego is our biggest enemy because it never allows us to have a peaceful state of mind.

Bingo! Now you comprehend. It's all
boils down to low self-esteem and
feelings of worthlessness...the bigger
the house or the vehicle the smaller the person feels inside so they have to over-compensate.
And it's a highly contagious disease
spreading like wildfire.
And when that doesn't do the trick the
individual has to enlist the help of some elite group or social exclusion
themed organization which tells the rest of society that they're not light
enough, bright enough, well-bred and groomed enough; therefore, they are not allowed because they're simply not good enough. And this makes them feel
better about themselves because frankly, this is the only way these subhuman, robotic, reptilian snobs can
even feel anything at all.

Sounds as if you're a little frustrated with your life Woody my boy. Unlike your analysis of others in this "strange animals" world, most of us do not have to lie to ourselves to enhance our self-esteem. If you are not both grateful and satisfied with what you have and who you are, Yahoo Answers is not what you need. A good friend, and Spiritual person, and a critic are what you may want to seek out to bring about all the things in life that you value. Me, I did my thing. Now it's your turn. Take a chance. Besides, based on your question, you have nothing to lose.

Perhaps it is because uur whole economy, and thus our means of survival and sources of resources, are dependent upon competitive principles.

Success is interpreted by most people, bluntly, as beating everyone in the same race that they are trying to run. It is not an inherent flaw in human nature, just something that we have been socially-conditioned with.

Why did you ask a question and then answer it yourself?
