Obviously the Harry Potter books attract a much larger audience than the Lord of the Rings, however, the Rings are the masterpieces of fantasy. J.R.R.Tolkien is literally the king of fantasy. But Rowling of course is always on the top book lists and is world renown as having the best series of all time. Also, if you look deeply into Rowling's writing, you will notice great similarities between Harry Potter, and the Lord of the Rings. Does this mean Rowling was greatyly inspired by her great predecessor? Tell me.

Missing you

If I can write a letter in the sky
I would…But without you is hard
My tears are slipping in my cheeks dry
Each tear, a painful new scar.

I miss you so much
Words cannot describe how
I need your presence, and your touch
I want you here, I want you now.

Solitude follows me like a shadow
Watching the stars falls
I can hear your heart, so mellow
I miss you, hear my calls.

Are they a good agency? Have you ever heard of them?
I am a first time writer and finished a Fantasy Fiction novel. I contacted this agency and they sent me an email requesting the manuscript. i am a little afraid that they might be fraud or something. This is their main website:
http://www.wlwritersagency.com/index.html
and this is their sub-website:
http://www.wlchildrensagency.com/index.html

I did my research about them, but did not find much. PLEASE guys, if you can, please find out if they are honost or not. I will continue my research. Thank you all so much. This place helped me alot in the past. Thanks again.

There are two different guitars at the locale music store. They are both Epiphone Les Paul's, but one has dot inlays and the other one has Trapezoid inlays. Is there any difference in quality between these two, or are they the same quality but the only difference is the inlays? Because the guitar with the Trapezoid inlays costs about, a hundred bucks more.

I've always wanted to be famous and so far acting seems like the most fun other than modeling.
My family and I are moving to Minnesota near the twin cities. Do any of of you know where there are some very big acting jobs there? I'm also looking for theater productions. I found Madilines Christmas and he secret garden but I couldn't find out how it worked.
I'm thirteen and want to start my career early.

And you have no idea how much I REALLY WANT TO ACT!!!

I find it a remarkable fact that man, as long as he regarded himself as a creature, interpreted his existence in the image of God, his creator; but as soon as he started considering himself as a creator, began to interpret his existence merely in the image of his own creation, the machine.

Just interested how you see or interpret that.

Yawning shriveled parchment face with rotten eyes
Embalmed, leering, scaring away the nauseated flies
Disinterred and swinging on a rusting hook
Once the Pharaoh, now an anonymous crook
Your bombastic life filled with petty lies

Whip to the crack, flail to the slaves
Suffering under charlatan knaves
Knotted backs trembling, pocked with scars
Destinies written on the uncaring stars
Persecute the heathens from barbaric enclaves . . .

I spoke with a professional photographer from Europe who told me he can not find any public art shows or even art galleries in the U.S. that would agree to exhibit photographs of nudes he has taken, even so called 'art photos.' It's not that he needs the money. He's had exhibits of his work at the Smithsonian (but they don't exhibit nudes, obviously). I am looking to find art shows where I can sell photos of nudes I've taken, but I don't want to waste my time applying if that's the case. I submitted a few samples to one gallery owner in Washington, DC (Not the Smithsonian ; ) and she said they'd be happy to display my other work--like cityscapes--but no nudes because 'families' attend the shows. Is that basically the response I'm going to get? If so, I don't want to waste my time. It does seem a bit silly to me since I see photos in Mademoiselle and Vogue that are no less risque than mine.
