Nothing that we have of value was given to us by kind Kings, benevolent Emperors or wise Presidents. What we have was acquired because ‘ordinary people’ maybe just like you, were prepared to take a risk and make a stand. Such stories can be told of people in every country and culture.

Today Aug 16 2007 is the 188th anniversary of one such event, that you may not know about.

On August 16th 1819, a public meeting was held at St Peter's Fields in Manchester, a traditional venue for public meetings. The meeting would end in tragedy, becoming known as The Peterloo Massacre, making it one of the most significant though often ignored events in British history

So, theatre people, I am getting a headshot...
Headshots, as we all know, are to reflect the real you!
Well, the real me only does these little my teeth don't show type of smiles, but when I do those, my braces make my mouth look very odd because the braces are pushing my mouth outward so I look rather monkey-esque...

And a big, happy smile is just not me... it also looks dorky; not because of the braces, but because I just look dorky smiling with teeth...

any suggestions?

American and British were concerned that USSR might negotiate for peace deal with Hitler if they were to leave USSR to its own fate but had their intelligence underestimated Hitler's determination to crush the communists?

By withholding operation Normandy and the lend lease to USSR, perhaps they might come in later part when both Germany and USSR had greatly exhausted their strength and exploit the situations.

The bottom line is that USSR might not be the superpower we know of during the cold war.

Assumes that there must be a thinker for there to be thoughts.

Perhaps thoughts could exist independently of thinkers.

Maybe it comes from the way we speak:

If you say "It's raining"
Where is the 'It'.

The rain is not being performed by some 'It'.
There is no 'IT'.

The same with- 'I'm' Thinking.
It could just be a linguistic construct.

The existence of a being hasn't been proven.

Every time i've ever tried answering a question about the talked about Harry Potter series, which I love as well...I noticed that they try to spoil on the last book, which i'm currently reading...I already know i'm behind on...But why do they want to ruin the best parts of a book and expect everyone to have the same reaction to what they had? If your gonna read a book your gonna find out your own right? Please give complete and honest opinions on this question!
