No - this deals with freedom of speech and has no bearing on the issues of access to unpublished material which are not in the public domain.

No, it is not a violation of the first ammendment. Rowling and her publishers had every right to keep these secrets, that especially goes for her US publisher Scholastic. The copyright laws do not violate the first amendment.

In fact if they did, then anyone could post any secrets and be protected by the first amendment. Bank account numbers personal information, doctor's files, lawyer's files, etc.

Britain doesn't have a first amendment that I'm aware of to violate.

i dont. you no why, because wouldnt u feel bad if u where the author and and everybody knew the ending of the book who didnt even read it.
