I believe that there is a superior being that started the world and has some interest in the development. I don't care what form it is. I just do not believe that the world in its glory just happened. Certainly believe that the world has evolved to it's present state. I also believe that it does send people here to get us working together. We just screw up the message.

God springs forth from the primitive limbic system of your brain, the last remnants of your reptillion past. The area where our raw emotions reside, including the irrational belief systems.

The 'religious' experience is triggered by deep depression, starvation, near death, or other highly charged situations. The 'born-again' christian phenomena has a scientific basis....yes, your limbic system. Why has man evolved this mechanism you might ask? Simple...it was a survival mechanism of our cave man ancestors to cope with a hostile and unknown universe.

The cerebral cortex is a more recent development. Here is where our rational and logical thought processes take place. It is here that the atheists have found their basis in reality.

In reality, there is no sentient, omnipresent, omnipotent supernatural being or force....therefore all the inequities and misery of the world will always persist, no matter how hard some try to get that limbic brain of ours to work...sorry

Yes, I believe in God and Jesus Christ because I have seen the power of God's work when I look at the world. You can not tell me things became alive from two bangs of some rocks. There had to be an intelligent, supernatural being creating us and all life on this planet. It just isn't possible no matter had many times you scientists try an twist things around that little spores became us and animals to learn to do so much. God gave us the intelligence to build, to create, to bring forth all that we have not us ourselves. We had to have help. And I have had prayers answered immediately when I really needed help. God is alive and well and I strongly believe in Him.

No. Nothing can defy the laws of physics (though not all of the properties of physics are yet understood so there's still room for amazing things to happen). This does not mean that I find life meaningless. Life is astounding and full of wonder.

I used to believe in God...for 40 plus years. I've let all that go and life is much more sensible now.

People want me to believe that this universe just happened and frankly I just find that impossible. Everything about life has an intelligence to it. Gravity no only keeps everything in place on this planet but it also protects life from the rays of the sun.
Seeds that we drop in the ground always grows upward to the surface-why?
If mankind were to disappear off the planet this planet would still maintain itself and even improve. You can't build a tractor and expect it to do a job unless someone with intelligence is controlling it.

To those believe in God no explanation is necessary. To those who do not believe in God no explanation is possible.

Yes. It is a matter of faith and not reasons, though there are plenty of them. There is a Creator, a Sustainer, a Divine Power for answering our prayers and read the Holy Books, Old Testament, New Testament and particularly the Holy Quran.

I do but not is the usual sense of adoring a particular figure of history. God is the all in all, and humans have the potential of union with this exalted feature of your own life.
