Absolutely! If you honor your people you are also honoring God. Whatever you do to your brothers you do it also to Him. If you good or bad to man same proportion is done to the Lord.

Well, the other day I was reading up on the myth of Lucifer in Wikipedia. I found it truly inspiring, and I think it answers your question. Lucifer was cast out of heaven (because he would not serve and bow down to man. (Lucifer is associated with the morning star, actually--as is Phaeton of Greek myth and Venus--and also Jesus). It occurred to me that the moral of that myth is that "loving" and "honoring" "God" as an ideal in and of itself is a delusional and self-destructive behavior but honoring and serving other people is how to "love and honor 'God'"

Great paradox here.
"God dwells within you as you"
If you have seen man, You have seen God,
You are here to awake to your unity with God in unconditional love within your own heart.
As the colors of the rainbow are contained within sunlight,so to are all things contained within the light of Gods love.
