I'm auditioning for "The Wizard of Oz". I'm a female alto and I can't go really really low.

I was kind of wondering this, and because we may not win at everything and we need certain things to be comfortable, that if you have to compete for it, then it was not meant for you. I suppose this would be consistent with the saying that "if it was meant for you then it will be for you." So, then is it futile to compete when maybe we should be finding the things that we don't have to compete for, the job that is just right for us, or the mate that is right for us.

So basically all I write are bits and peice of stories, but latley all I've been doing is writing alternate endings of my favorite books (mainly twilight, new moon, eclipse) or rewriting chapters of books in my own words. I can't think of my own story line about anything! The only story lines I can think of are already from books i've read! Any imaginative ideas?

Set me free , even just for an hour ,
I don’t want to just sit there when you do and wonder what I’m feeling,
Every day I deem to understand, my consolation
One never knows the pleasures of being blind,
I can see you, I can hear you,
I’m alive in an eerie way,
There is nothing more embarrassing than a blighted heart,
And no matter where I look I find no pity at my doorstep,
Everyone seems to cash in their tokens just fine,
I believe there was a time when I had a pocket full,
I laughed pleasurably, in the company of a mirror image,
Who looked like a star,
I took all my tokens out from my pocket and to the devil I pledged my soul,
I’m as dark as the demons, for I too have a heart of gold,
A heart of gold in chains, and the key lies in the belly of the beast,
My mind like an open notebook,
Has run out of another clean sheet,
I’d love to write something good,
Read these lines when you begin your journey,
Remember to keep your tokens, they should last you till the end of your days,
No one wants to fight the war, the everlasting pull,
Don’t jump out of your skin
Set me free, even just for an hour …

It's similar to writers block, but for artists.

I need tips besides thinking of something sad in my life. I'm trying to be an actress and this is one talent I am trying to master. I haven't had that many extremely sad moments. I'm a happy person and of course that's not helping. I tried not blinking and yawning (at the same time) but i still cant get enough tears to actually fall down my face even after blinking several times. I used to cry involuntarily when thinking of fictional sad moments with sad music in my head. Now it doesn't work. Nothing makes me cry! Not even onions! Do i lack tears or something?! Help! Any sad movies i can watch that i can think of later and still cry or anything else like that? Any fictional sad moments I should think of? Sad music to go with it? Anything to make me cry?! Any tricks besides sad moments? Eyedrops? Help!

I thought that might get someones attention he he. I have been looking online for hours for a large image of a woman screaming like in the old horror movies, here is what I'm looking for:

http://www.adultitis.org/media/woman_screaming.gif

This or something like it in high resolution. I'm willing to pay for the image of course, I'm designing a box for a remote control tarantula for my job at a toy company. If anyone could help me find it I will give you a cyber smooch.

Lyddie revealed the double standard that existed betweeen men and women during the 1840's. In what ways have things changed regarding the status of males and females in U.S. History society? How have they remained the same?

I have just started learning the guitar. Cyberfret.com says that once I master four chords I can play thousands of tunes.

Em, C, G, D

Do you know some tunes I can play with those four chords? Do you know a place where I can find easy songs once I learn a few more?

I wont' be able to play again tonight.... my fingers are numb. :)

thanks

I have an audition tomorrow for a casting company. It will be in front of the camera and I have never auditioned in front of a camera before - just up on stage. I have a monologue prepared, and they will give me a script to cold-read also. I am very nervous, but don't want to mess up a good opportunity.

Are there any tips you can give me on what to do/ what not to do?
Also, I normally wear very minimal make-up, if any at all, but I think I should put something on to sort of even out my tone - any ideas/ hints? Obviously I want it to look natural and not over the top.

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!
