If you think trouble is a cat in a tree
And the worst pain of all is the sting of a bee
If you think a problem is a broken nail
If an ordeal is a letter lost in the mail
If tradgedy is you missed the bus
If an unruly rooms causes out-of-hand fuss
If a rip-off is buying overpriced shoes
Then this is going to be way more than news.

Getting sick can be more than a cough
A switch can mean more than to turn on or off
Starving may not be quite what you think
A cold glass of water may not be a drink
Sometimes our messes get a bit out of hand
And grow into issues beyond our command
What a child calls a crush may rise above
And change from, "I like you" to a thing called, "love"
Not everything is what it may seem
Be prepared for surprises when you wake from your dream

thanks

Any ideas on effective images or metaphors that help others understand physical pain? Not in a sadistic way, more about explaining physicial pain from illness.

Modeling is a beautiful art, yet a very strict art. I have pondered the possibilities of me becoming a model, however how likely is it? I am 5'3", and thirteen years old. I weigh 90 pounds. My body structure is slightly thin. I have hazel eyes (green and brown), and dark brown hair. Is it possible for me to become a model? Also, if any of you have had past experience or know anything about modeling/acting schools, which ones would you recommend?

Of life after death. One would think they would want to embrace the idea.

I see all kinds of people complaining on here about people posting spoilers to the new HP book. But isn't this a discussion forum? And to discuss any book, you are typically going to need details...

So shouldn't those that haven't read a book yet, just stay away from the discussion forums until they have finished the book, instead of expecting everyone else to not discuss it?

I personally, stayed off the internet and kept the news off from the day of HP 7's release until I finished reading it, just to be safe from spoilers.

I love u from my heart
I love u from my soul

When u r
From me so far
I look 2 the sky
And say there is my love
He chines ,he is a star
But from me so far

Wen i see him
My heart feers
when i touche him
My heart cries
Is it hapiness
Or is it feer
Of he not knowing
That he is always here
Here in my heart
Chining like a star

If he is so real
Then i m waiting here
Waiting for my star
To shine in my heart

I love u from my heart
I love u from my soul

When you're finished reading the final book, will you go back and read the entire series again?
HP is an amazing series, I'm betting that if you go back and reread them you'll find new details in the story that you missed the first time through. It'll be like discovering the series all over again. Plus, you can finish one book and pick up the next immediately. No waiting!!!

Scream
Drunk on society, drunk on systems, the sordid numbing gin of ‘84 courses trough the veins of all. The masses move, breathe, wither together, a grey ocean of black holes with faces. Words of no significance fall from every mouth to the ground- nothing is absorbed, no one is listening, but they speak just the same. A million soliloquies droning on like the great whirring of a terrible machine.
We live on this vague stage set where California sunsets smell suspiciously of oil paints, and time is measured in curtain calls and falls. Here we stand like shaking Hamlets, staring through the hole in the black drapery of our shallow minds and fragile sanity, staring into the depth of the ghostly shadow thoughts we can barely comprehend.
We live behind these glass walls of store fronts, clear cells, freedom is as green as Liberty’s smile, which is as ambiguous as Mona Lisa’s eyes, which are as brown as the dried blood of slaughtered years on the thinning c

Well, I'm a bit late on Cinnamon's challenge from yesterday (stupid work lol). I attempted a Ruba'i. This is my first and after reading some of Fr Al's work and thinking about an 8th Century Hymn I remember "Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silent" I wrote this. I was guessing my way through this form and would appreciate any feedback (if religious themes bother you stop here, it is not my desire to upset anyone).

On That Day

I know for certain I will die
To slide, to slip into the sky.
The clay around me starts to wear,
So little time to say goodbye.

To leave behind this mortal care,
Caught up to meet You in the air,
Changed in seconds without delay,
No longer shielded from Your stare.

All will be silent on that day,
As every tear You wipe away.
The pressures of this life will cease,
Darkness no longer on display.

I will not pray for this release;
Life’s joys though fleeting do increase.
Choosing to live within Your plan,
Knowing one day there will be peace.
