Neo's answer to that question was, "Because I choose to". However, later you will notice he gives up fighting and resisting. And that's the way he wins. He couldn't win by fighting because, whatever you resist, persists. He came to that realization when he heard the oracle's message, "Everything that has a beginning has an end." So he was able to simple stop his resistance, allowing the source to recycle the program through his mind.

So I've begun to arrange my life not to resist, but to go with the flow. That is to go for what I want, rather than to resist what I do not want.

im fighting to give people the intellectual grounding to feel safe within this mystery of life. i feel like i could save the world one world at a time if i could just show someone that the world they live in isn't such a scary miserable place. help them realize that there is nothing to be afraid of....ever. its my goal because i was once very afraid and pissed off and i don't want people to have to feel the way i did.

i'm fighting for everyone not to hate eachother. its so annoying and stupid how someone can hate someone else based on the clothes they wear and the music they listen to. i'm laughed at because i listen to calvin harris, slipknot, rihanna and my chemical romance and i like all of them. apparently now you cant listen to all types of music without being ridiculed and people asking "whats wrong with you?" You cant even wear skinny jeans and a black top without people screaming emo at you. Grrrr. society as we know it just got more retarded.
