What's your favorite first line of a book?

I'll start with mine:

"So what's it going to be then, eh?"

Does anyone know what drinking instruments were used in Carthage and Quart Hadast (New Carthage) during the second Punic war? It is my understanding that they primarily used cheaply manufactured clay for their cups. Would the military men have used skins or cups for drinking while at ease (not campaigning)? Thank you!

I have unsuccessfully been looking for what the Carthaginian currency was in and around the second Punic war. I understand that they did not use the coin system, but am unable to find what their "currency" was called? Was it called "Gold and Silver"? Any Help is much appreciated!
P.S. I am posting a series of questions concerning Carthage that I have been unsucessful in finding answers to.

The greater the intelligence you possess the more pressure you have on you to use it to do great things, from both yourself and others. Is it more enviable to be stupid and happy just living simple life?
For that matter, would it be better to be a monkey sitting in a tree eating bannanas all day?

I need reliable scientific proof about the evolution process, and how we and the universe came to be, and by that same token, some information to dispell creationism.

Yeah, this is one of those evolution/creationism debates that I have gotten myself into with a hard-core religious person. I am atheist by the way.

While I respect the religion of others, I will most certainly defend evolution against creationism anyday.

I have done my research, but am looking for additional information to present to the person I am debating with.

I was thinking of joining one of those sites where it'll find your ancestors. I went to ancestory.com to view a few samples of family trees, prices, etc. My questions for those who are members of sites like this are:

1 - Is it worth the price to become a member of these sites

2 - Can non members of the site view a "family tree" that I create

3 - Does being a paying member of the site actually enhance the capabilities of my "family tree"

4 - What if I don't know the names / places / birth years of anyone past my grandparents?

These are just some of the questions I have before paying money to these sites. I viewed some free samples of the ancestory.com family trees, and they go really deep into the family tree, but I don't know the names of people past my grandparents. But is that the whole idea of joining a website like this? Does the website search for people I don't know and their birth information for me

Any information, suggestions would be greatly appreciate

I think the painting was painted in the 18th or 19th century and it depicts a child leading for a lion and a lamb and various other animals whom are normally predatory towards each other all of whom are lying down with each other and at peace. Need the title and/or name of artist for the work. Very popular traditional painting. It stems from a biblical quote about the 2nd coming of Christ I believe. "A little child shall lead them."Help this is important!
