TAKE YOUR SCRIPT SO YOU CAN FOLLOW ALONG FROM BACKSTAGE AT ALL TIMES!!!! It wouldn't hurt to review your lines backstage, either.

Take your costume, if you have it at home. Take something to change into after the show. What you go to the theatre in may or may not be good for this. Take your makeup and something with which to clean your face before putting on makeup and after the show. Take a comb or hairbrush. If you need supplies to do your hair, take those. Take clean socks for afterward. If you are barefoot onstage, wear slip-on shoes so you can safely walk around backstage and still get your shoes off easily in time for your entrances.

Take an extra plastic bag or two for things you may need to bring back home that aren't clean.

Take your things in a good totebag of a sort you can easily handle. Keep your things neatly tucked away in this totebag when you are not specifically using them. Jungle Book is a medium-large cast play, so dressing room space is going to be quite limited. Keep your things safely and neatly out of everyone else's way.

Don't worry about taking "something to do" during the performance. Give the show your best attention and all your energies. Concentrate on the show and on being a help to your fellow performers.

I remember another question you asked and honestly you seem so out of your element. Usually when someone has a role in a show, they ask the director these questions and things like wardrobe are addressed at rehearsals. It's not generally the actor's job to come up with one's own wardrobe. I strongly suggest you make a list regarding anything you're not clear about and at the start of the next rehearsal, ask the director and take notes on what he/she says.

Best of luck to you!

Make up? Go to a costume shop and ask for a Ben Nye student kit for about $15. See if someone there will show you how to use it as well. Tell them who you are playing and what age you are supposed to look. If they can't help you, ask your director who is supposed to help you with that.

Wear basic make-up since you will be putting make-up on for each part.

If you need to bring your own make-up take:
Make-up remover
Blush
Moisturizer
Foundation
A silicone pre-makeup gel.
Eyeliner pencil
Pencil sharpener
Lip liner
Lip stick and gloss
Several shades of eye shadow and practice with different shades for different looks.

Use dark brown eye shadows to highlight cheeks and under the chin.

Go to my web site: www.beautipage.com/merlembaker
to see some of the things I have listed.
