I prefer something fictional, maybe a series, not over 300 pages, something that will draw you in, make you laugh, make you cry; you know just a real good book

i can play almost all of 100 years on the piano (by five for fighting), except the part that says, 'fifteen, there's still time for you, time to buy and time to choose' or whatever. i practice a lot but i absolutely SUCK at sight reading! i learned to play 100 years by constantly repeating, not actually by the skill of playing piano...actually i suck at piano but i forced myself to do something cool and i was jealous at how good my friend is at piano and i wanted to get better. so my question is how do i get better at sight reading??????? I thought if a person were put at a figurative wall and left there long enough, he could persevere and push through. Lately, I'm becoming skeptical. Any opinions?

I think that we could have the power to make this world a better place. How could we do that? If we were to act selflessly at all times, we would change the world. Do you think that people can love others more that they love themselves? How about treating everyone with love, even people who hurt you? We are so self-centered most of the time that we only concern ourselves with entertainment and comfort, when we should be making sure everyone has food and life's basic necessities. Have you ever heard the saying "a house divided against itself will fall"? If you think of all of humanity as one "house" you can see how we are divided against ourselves, right? How stupid are we to keep seeking only what we want for ourselves, when it is so obvious that we are really just hurting ourselves. We deny ourselves our greatest achievements by ignoring the needs of others and getting "more" for us. What do you think?

This is not a serious question!
Let's assume nobody knows the answer so we just have to go on our personal impression of God. Does he/she/it have to be completly omnipotent???

We could assume the creating the universe was harder than the flood- it took him a few days...so any idea what God might find harder to accomplish, easier to accomplish
or do you believe something else.

keep in mind that if you are willing to consider God as fallible, it would account for Atlantic City. :-)

My friends and I have been thinking about entering a talent at a local choral workshop. There would be 3 guys. Either 2 Tenors and 1 Bass or 1 Tenor, 1 Baritone, 1 Bass. However, the 2nd Tenor(Baritone) may not be able to go. We were thinking doing the Lion Sleeps Tonight. But if we can't what would be a good duet song for 2 Tenors or 1 Tenor and 1 Bass.

I am fourteen years old and love to write all kinds of stories but I don't like poetry. I want to get a head start on a possible future career and I really need to know how to start once I already have a novel or something written. I know that there are places I can send my work but I am truly afraid that they won't read it and it will sit on a pile of others for a really long time. I need something where I can send it and get it edited or published in a maximum span of three months or so. I really need suggestions and appreciate any answers that you can give me. Thank you.
