Does God have to be the Almighty or can he just be really powerful? This is a very interesting question, however...
Someone placed this world the right distance from the sun.
Someone designed the human nervous system.
Someone made every animal unique.
Someone crafted together that beautiful ocean view.
Someone knitted human flesh with the human soul.
In other words, if he has limits, he still impresses me!!!
Now it's time for me to go to bed, my fragile body needs its rest.

Thank you for the fun question!
From a personal perspective, I'd have to say 'No.' But then I must admit that having taken a keen interest in 'world religions' and the underlying philosophy that underpins them for purely personal reasons, I have found the most compelling answers appear to be those of an Eastern persuasion (more specifically those that more closely adhere to Advaita-Vendata, and related thought.)
For the un-initiated, that translates into something along the lines of "singular and One" or "non-dual." Another way of describing it (by western Christian standards a terrible 'blasphemy') would be to say that each individual's 'spirit' is part of a larger whole and continuum..i.e. We are not a 'creation' of a separate God-being, but instead a bit of transient "God stuff" Sort of like existing as God's eyes and ears, ...a spiritual, but necessarily temporary way for 'God' to look into the mirror, so to speak.
For those who are ready to burn me at the stake. I would simply remind them of Jesus' most wise counsel centered on the idea that the 'Kingdom of God' is already here for the asking...so long as you are able to 'let go' of 'earthly' (i.e. human) desire and instead receive (i.e. recognize) your innate 'spirit.'
Yikes, my personal explanation reeks of 'preaching!' Certainly not my intent, since my view remains that "Everything, is perfectly in order and as it is supposed to be"...We, as individuals my not always be able to divine such a perfect order and balance, but that does not negate the ultimate fact that it indeed exists.
In somewhat less devote terms, I would have to say that if the 'spirit' moves you to toss those dice at Atlantic City, then that is exactly what you are here to do ;-) Blessings...

Yes I believe that with God all things are possible, but not according to my limited understanding. I believe one should be as humble as Job was after receiving correction in chapter 42: verses 1-6. We often get hung up on the word (possible) in your question when it's the (all things) of the statement that matters. For if we don't understand the (all things) spoken of, how can we hope to grasp the potential of (possible).

why isn't this a serious question? God isn't a human. In the bible he does have emotions, but he certainly comprehends more than a human and probably doesn't even function like one either. I'm not sure if he decides when to kill people though. Even if he did, why would he care. Dying should be a gift, not a curse.

Commitment and fatherhood. He could have been there for his son more. When I was growing up my dad was away on business a lot, but I still saw him most weekends. He didn't leave me and my mum till I was 16 and never palmed me off to some naive step-dad.
Creating the universe is all well and good, but I bet he never even paid child support.

I don't think there is anything difficult for God to do. However there is one thing i think he may find it difficult. He's given everyone free will and it must be very difficult and painful for him to watch hes people turn away from him and living a bad life and knowing that he cannot do anything against their will except trying to show them that what they are doing is not right for them.

I imagine the hardest thing for God is withholding his wrath... but I don't think God finds anything difficult.

im a Christian and have been raised to trust and believe that God is omnipotent and nothing is too hard for Him to accomplish(by the way...the Bible refers to God in the masculine tense) and i firmly believe that.there may be things that require more skill and cleverness in accomplishing it, however i do not believe that there's anything TOO hard for God to do.

i think the whole "smite" thing is probably hard for God. Because God loves us all. like when a parent punishes a child, it makes you sad and you feel bad, but you do it to help them grow. i think it's probably hard for God to give us consequences.

I think it would be difficult for God to die. Thats one thing im not sure he knows how to do. Eternal death, im not sure he can do it. I dont think God can commit suicide. The bible says he can do all things, I think they forgot about that one.
