My friends and I have been thinking about entering a talent at a local choral workshop. There would be 3 guys. Either 2 Tenors and 1 Bass or 1 Tenor, 1 Baritone, 1 Bass. However, the 2nd Tenor(Baritone) may not be able to go. We were thinking doing the Lion Sleeps Tonight. But if we can't what would be a good duet song for 2 Tenors or 1 Tenor and 1 Bass.

By the way we are all 14. We are well accomplished singers.

Acapella pieces are usually the most impressive when there are at least three parts. If it ends up being just the two guys, I would recommend doing something with an accompaniment. However, a great acapella piece for 4 or more is Yesterday. Good luck with your talent show and please know that I love acapella music and I am not knocking it or your desire to do it, it just doesn't have the fullness of sound with only 2 parts.

Yes, i agree. Oh Happy Day is exactly what i was thinking-it is perfect for guys. And you can speed it up or slow it down depending on your audience. Also try Kiss the Girl from The Little Mermaid. Depending on the audience, it could be cute, or you could slow it down and make it romantic.

No specific songs come to mind, but use something done by an artist with multiple vocal tracks, such as The Eagles, CSN(Y), or Boys II Men.
