And wouldn't you say killing someone is only cutting short his miseries and pain?

I would prefer drowning to death but since I can swim it has to be "shot to death".

I find myself in a quandary because I find life to be meaningless. I love existentialist thought, and I appreciate and even endorse the view that the only meaning in life is that which you create. At the same time, I am constantly confronting myself with the fact that I am merely the collection of neurons firing in the brain and that the self is an illusion. I have come to the conclusion that life is a series of distractions, and the only way to be happy in life is just to distract yourself as much as possible from these harsh realities. But is distracting yourself enough? I distract myself with goals, ambitions, dreams, social networks, work, entertainment, and yet I always come back to this disturbing notion that every moment is an illusion, every choice predetermined, and every path a dead-end. How do you handle this?

im bored so i wanna see if people like my poem stuff

the anger that controls the inner souls
and the logic that flawed is taken in wholes
misconceptions and lies that comprimise
decption that ties to all our lives
what can we belive from anyone today
and to obey the law they lay then pay
to bring us in a direction thought to be perfection
but is only a selection of new direction
one that is flawed through logic and sense
yet things are heading in great suspense
wondering if the end is near or the ozone we sear
is lies or fact brought by people they fear
every man has a demon waiting to rise
waiting for their own power not to comprimise

idk im bored haha

the man walking back and forth thinking
but the confusion was a mist of sinking
deeper and deeper to thought and evil he done
the mistakes the tust the pace of one
question dug a hole to his abilty to think hes commited
to the banging boom of the submitted
he hears the thunder with a bang and paces
its gets louder as he finds the traces
without the luck he screams ****
figures out it was with no luck
as he walks and talks to himself he blames the wealth
not worrying about personal mental health
but the crash of the past hits him as he stops
saying **** this but denying the true flops
the perfection he wasnt able to achieve
something he never could belive
he begins to run as the sun appears
now hes in the sun has to run the fear
the purpose of him was decided and he resided and distorted the truth and as he passes a loenly dark booth he tries to reason but its too late and its the season for the fate
of his to end through the thoughts to spend the night

idk if this

A. Someone who works very hard, obeys the law, a good family value person. He would help out anyone out because he's been taught he should. Although he sometimes does it begrudgingly. He's earned the respect and admiration of many.

Or
B. Someone who has no drive, no ambition, smokes marijuana on occassion, gets passing grades in university (although he could do much better), has views much different than the mainstream, but harbours no ill will towards anyone and sees it as a privilege to help out another person.

My friend recently try to get a certified copy of his birth certificate for a new job. The county recorder's office told him his birth certificate was "sealed" and asked him if he was adopted. He knows he's not because he looks nearly indentical to his grandfather at the same age and his mother. Plus his parents haven't said he was (he's 40 yrs old). All I can find via Google is a bevy of info about adoption as the reason for it being sealed. Does anyone know of any other reasons your birth certificate might be sealed? We're in CA in the US. Any insight would be great!

This has been bothering me lately, but on the UK (Australian) cover of the book, who is it with Harry and Buckbeak? I've deduced that it is either Sirius or Hermione, but the image doesn't make it easy to tell who it is...

...do you like to write it from beginning to end (for the most part), or skip around (say, write the end first, then a scene from the middle, etc.)? Which do you think produces a stronger story?

Also, how much outlining do you do prior to starting the manuscript? I have my own opinions and experience on this, but I'm curious to see what the most commonly used methods are.

I am interested in serious, mature definitions of exactly what people believe "destiny" to mean. I do not believe destiny requires a predetermined course and am interested to know if anyone else believes that free will and destiny can, and do, co-exist. While I am a very spiritual person and believe totally in God, I do see that free will and destiny do not require God to exist. Thoughtful responses and ideas, please?

And by the way - Insults to my character due to my beliefs are not necessary, although you may certainly include them and feel assured I will view them as the drivel they are! I love free will, don't you? :o)

whether it's a thousand years from now or only a hundred -- until we start planning and taking steps toward world peace, it will not happen. on some level, we all desire to live communally in harmony. despite the many challenges and obstacles, i believe the solution is within all of us and we need to examine the process.

would it require a self-sustaining economy not based on money?

how do we implement a new way of thinking that motivates people to work, educate, live as a community?

throw out the notion that "good fences make good neighbors" and realize that someday there will be no fences because there will be so many people we will be faced with the challenge of surviving as a species with the limited resources and available space. how do we create a truly sustainable way of life that benefits everyone?

thank you for taking the time to read this thought, i look forward to hearing your answers.
