no...if they deserve it. look at bush, he is the perfect example, he deserves to be killed so...CHOP OF HIS CORN COB AND SHOVE HIS FINGERS IN A DRILL! you are very right in what you believe. and can i just say one thing completely off topic? everone is trying to convert me into a christian! they can just **** off! if the person deserves to be killed they should be killed, but quickly, this way they cannot hurt someone, and the hurt persons family will be upset however if we did not kill that person he/she would keep on doing this. and this way his family will realise what he/she put others through. so its a good thing. glad you brought it up!

Killing is wrong for a million reasons. What makes you think that you are entitled to judge who deserves to live or not?
Haven't we learned anything from our ancestors' mistakes?
World history is full of examples of people, civilizations even who at the time thought that what they were doing was right, that they were right in choosing who will live and who will die. You don't have to go very back in history to see this. Take Hitler for example. Many people don't know that he was elected by the German people. They wanted him to be their ruler. What we nowadays call genocide was a normal thing for Hitler, because he truly believed that by exterminating the Jews he was doing the world a favor. Now everybody agrees that what Hitler did was wrong, but then it was a different story. So, unless we want to end up with any more dictators , we really must erase these thoughts from our minds. We are not capable of judging life and death matters, we should not be allowed to do so.

You are entitled to kill provided you are capable of creating. Since you cant create, how can you be entitled to kill? Let this function remain with God who has created this universe. It is His headache whether someone deserves death.
Secondly, killing does not cut short miseries and pain. Death is not the end. Only the physical body is lost. The sould along with consciousness, mind, powers to see and hear, feel pain, sorrow, joy all remain with the dead person.
Thirdly the pain and suffering has to be borne as it is the punishment of sins committed in this and earlier births. The only way to mitigate one's sufferings is by seeking forgiveness from God through fervent, repeated prayers with the sincere and genuine promise to reform, be kind to others, help others etc.
Knowledge of the universe, its secrets etc also imparts one the realisation that the suffering will end some day. It gives hope. Theists are therefore better off than atheists who having no such knowledge, commit suicide, leaving near and dear ones broken, and himself doomed to thousands years of torment of having to relive again and again and again the pain of death undergone at the time of death through suicide.

Who are you to decide who deserves death? This isn't a decision anyone has the right or "authority " to decide. Every judge or jury who decides capital punishement is an "appropriate" solution for certain individuals needs to realize this. The only exceptions to this are assisted suicide wherein the individual chooses to die to end his suffering and misery and self-defence. Every other type of killing is unjustified and therefor unethical.

A great quote from the movie Unforgiven:
“It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. You take away all he's got; all he's ever gonna have.”
Killing people is wrong. That said, I'm happy to oblige people of an early demise if they choose to hurt me or the people around me if rational discourse should fail. At times, killing is indeed deserved.

Deserving death???
Now thats an interesting opinion.
Do u think certain people DESERVE to die?
If so, then you've just answered your own question. You must think its ok to kill people if they " deserve death"
And NO, I would not say killing someone is cutting their life short of misery and pain. What if they we're happy with their life? Even though they did something that YOU would think they deserve to die?
Seems to me, you need others to make you feel better about your masocistic mentallity.
Revenge, Wrath, Justice? = Deserves to die

Yes, killing is wrong. Yes, there are many people who deserve to die. However, you or I are not in the position to say who should live or die. Unless, you're a judge, a member of a jury or God, which I strongly doubt since you are asking this kind of question.

Some might think that you deserve the same.
Whenever we make such a judgment remember that someone may be making the same assessment of you.

Firstly, even if a person is suffering, you or I cannot decide to do away with him. It is not a question of logic/practicality. Rather, it is the moral angle that is of concern.
Secondly. legitimizing mercy killings would open the floodgates for a host of malpractice.
