I guess this question might be one where the 'huh?' and 'what?' answers might win, but I'd like to hear something creative.

Actually I don't think there is a sharpest tool in the shed, metaphorically speaking. Tools are made for specific tacks. No one tool is suited for every task in the garden. Some tasks require an edge, while others may require dullness. The same can be said for people. Is there a smartest person alive. I doubt it. There are brilliant people don't get me wrong, but the brilliance is specific. It takes all of the tools to make up up the shed, It takes all of human intelligence to make up society. We are all the sharpest tool for our intended purpose. The rub is finding that intended purpose

I would leave the tool shed and venture off to college. I would get a degree and become the sharpest tool in the shed.

hmm...well you would be one of the others! maybe the dullest or maybe one in the middle. as you probably know it's a way of saying someone's dumb or just not as smart as others like them....then again if you think about tools, no matter how sharp each do a different job to help accomplish something different that ends up helping so the lesson you learn there is that all people, no matter how smart, help society in some way

The pneumatic nail gun. The mechanical thrusting of hard metal into objects has the dangerous and subversive sex appeal of a nine inch nails video.

I'd be the dullest tool in the shed, because if I can't be the best at being sharp, I could be the accel at being dull. :]

Good question.

A hammer.....keep saying the same thing over and over and very soon it becomes accepted as the hammered out truth. I would only use my hammer for good causes....of course. Remember the song ..? If I had a hammer ?

That old rotted ax handle. People will leave you alone so you can lean against the wall of the toolshed and be left alone to simply relax.
