Ok, so JK said Crookshanks is not an animagus. But, here's the real question:?

She has said that filmmakers made a really big mistake on the third movie that would cause problems with the last book. What do you think it is?

I think it's that Snape shields the trio from Lupin (werewolf version). That is definetly not in the book so maybe in the 7th one, Snape will actually protect Harry. She didn't say it would cause problems. She said that it predicts something happening in the 7th book.

I think the mistake they have been making and made again in GOF was to leave out the Snape vs. Potter, Black, Lupin and Pettigrew relationship...I can't imagine how people who have not read the books and have only seen the films can be filled in with all the info they have left out...about crookshanks being a horcrux I have to agree with the guys at mugglenet...voldemort would NEVER put a part of his soul into an animal that could die at any moment...it's too precious a thing to be out there in such a risky place...

Well, they failed to demonstrate that he's really a crossbreed. He's part house cat and part kneazle. Kneazles being cat-like creatures that can detect people who may be of a suspicious nature. They really don't like such people, which is why Crookshanks went after Scabbers (aka Peter Pettigrew) and why he was so willing to protect Sirius. He could tell the former wasn't to be trusted but the latter was. The movie just portrayed Crookshanks more as a normal house cat, which would be likely just to go hunting without thought of the guilt or innocence of it's prey.

What would the film have to do with the book? Honestly, the films are so different from the books that I don't see how something in any of the films could cause problems with Deathly Hallows. I'm not trying to be rude, but could you please put where you found that? JK Rowling has had the entire book series planned out for years, I highly doubt that something in the film could change what she was planning on writing.

I could see, however, where people who don't read the books could get confused and it does have to do with the third film. They didn't explain about the Marauders. That was one thing that really angered me when I watched the film. I watched it with my parents and they were confused. They asked "how does Sirius know about the map?" I had to explain it to them.

Anyway, I know that Cauron wanted to put a cemetary on Hogwarts' grounds and JK Rowling said no because it would give too much away for the upcoming books. Of course, we still haven't seen a cemetary in the books, unless you count Dumbledore's grave.

Hmmm....Well about Crookshanks I really think his sole purpose was to cause issues and such in the third book with Scabbers/Pettigrew, I dont think he is that important as he is rarely mentioned after that...as for the movie...well I thought a lot was left out in the hidden tree room thing that would've explained more and agree of the Snape thing.

I never heard this, do you have a link somewhere I could read about it, I was just on her site. If it is about Crookshanks, maybe it was about the cat being able to detect the rat being bad, he knew and no one else did.

she said that they added stuff without knowing it would have to do with the 6th and 7th books. i have no idea what it could be that they did in the movies, but i cant wait to find out! im gonna watch that movies about 10 times to c what it could be, and 10 timesa afterwards to check it!!

ok forgive me for being so farfetched but crookshanks could be a horcrux. very unlikely though. but he was abandoned. there could be many reasons. but dealing with the movie i have no clue
