Everyone always advises to "do what you love" & to find something you're passionate about.

What if you don't love or are passionate about anything?
What advice would you give such a person?

If it matters, I am 26 & hold a bachelor's degree.

I've posted this before in another category but I need different perspectives if you would be so kind as to accommodate. Thank you.

who else is pissed that the japanese gov. and coast gaurd just changed the name of iwo jima! and get this, it means the exact same thing and is written using the exact same characters! even japanese vets are pissed! (yahoo has an articale on it)

so im writing this teen love type summery book and i need a good title for it here's my back cover mock-up of the book :
"Meet Samantha Levee.She's the new girl at a prestiges teen summer camp and she is doing just great! except for the fact that she's bunked with 5 snotty cliquey girls and just kissed one of their boy friends!But what would summer camp be with out a couple of punches, designer clothes and a few kisses?Samantha is about to find out..."

so i want something original not "summer of love" or some thing boring like that i want something like "designer leaves" or "earth, wind, and cliques"
something out there.

During the Cold War, Berlin was in East Germany (Soviet controlled) yet was split between US and Soviet sectors. How was West Berlin kept out of Soviet control? since the US controlled West Berlin.

Most of humanity have been dreaming of a world at peace, a utopia on earth, for centuries, but no one has found the solution.

Peace in this world by man is only temporally, and then it vanishes away.

As I look at this, I’m reminded of the Peace movement in the late 60’s and early 70’s.

Peace was being shouted across America’s airwaves and Television networks, as riots broke out on our collage campuses.

I'm reading Kafka's The Metamorphosis in a Lit class. Everyone's trying to analyze it. In our book, the story of The Metamorphosis is only about 50 pages, while the critical essays about it are nearly 200 pages. I wonder if maybe Kafka just wanted to write a story about a guy that turns into a giant bug. I like thinking of the deeper meaning and the metaphors and all that jazz... but are we ruining it by trying to figure out what it means? Martha Graham says that if she could tell you want her dances meant, what would the point be of dancing it?

All artists have a message, but sometimes they just want to make things. When making dances, people always ask me what my movement means and what it symbolizes. I start out with an idea, and made movement that fits that and feels right. Then, when I am finished, I step back and looked at what it evloved into.

Just looking for some dialog about this, and as an artist, do you start a work knowing exactly what you want to communicate?
