I'm thinking of rubbing his belly and asking for more wishes.

--Honestly, if I were *looking* for someone in a Lamp to grant Wishes, I'd be peeved. I'd likely smack my forehead, say "D'ohhh!" and wonder out loud what the blazes *he* was doing *in there*. Because as someone else pointed out, the Buddha doesn't do wishes, dishes or windows.

--Otherwise, I'd ask him the Big One: Have we gone too far? Have we screwed ourselves up so badly that now all we have to look forward to is the End of Days? Is there no way we can *be better* and do right at least by ourselves, if not others as well? (pardon the redundancy there)

And....knowing my lousy rotten luck, I'd get my answer in *ancient Hindu* and it would take me 20 years to translate it accurately and another 20 years to get the *context* right so that it makes proper sense.

At which point I'd be close to being *dead*, and the whole business would in sum total be less than relevant. ^_^ Well, except for the fact that I'd know some ancient Hindu and get myself some culture going, which may well be the *point here*.

(but you could get much the same result by printing a *fortune cookie* in ancient Chinese that, once translated, says "Aren't you glad you did all of this work?" *lol* But it would have to come with a disclaimer, the local metaphorical equivalent of "now now, don't go *postal* on me, don't lose it....")

Thanks for your time. ^_^

Buddha is the 'enlightened' one who has attained 'moksh' and is not trapped in a magic lamp to do the biddings of its owner. He is a liberated soul. And even then if you insist for an answer, I would be totally in awe of him for I do feel extremely small in front of great people. I would beg him for a discourse and try to imbibe as much knowledge from him as my small brain can take.

BY the way, Buddha shows the way, not grant wishes..........You will be lucky to engage him in discussions and wouldn't it be fun to watch who comes on top!!!

Buddhah is spelled Buddha.....Buddha is not a genie who grants wishes....I could not know Buddha was in the lamp unless he came out. If he did come out of the lamp I would ask him.....what was it like to become enlightened? What was Nirvana like ? Finally, what is the purpose of all life and the Universe ? Peace to all sentient beings.........

Interesting question. I think there is no need for magic since the divine is already in us all.

Ask him for enlightenment. And ask some questions...

No seriously, I would!
