Most of humanity have been dreaming of a world at peace, a utopia on earth, for centuries, but no one has found the solution.

Peace in this world by man is only temporally, and then it vanishes away.

As I look at this, I’m reminded of the Peace movement in the late 60’s and early 70’s.

Peace was being shouted across America’s airwaves and Television networks, as riots broke out on our collage campuses.

Whats the Problem?

The problem to me is twofold.... Sin, and man's perception of true peace is all messed up! To non-believer's, peace is more about the absence of conflict or war. To the non-believer's, peace comes and goes as fast as the wind blows. But to that spirit-filled Christian, peace is about an inner happening, the Holy Spirit, that is so real and lasting that external events can't shake it! And to the spirit-filled believer, our peace is constant, because with Jesus we have NO need to fear or worry about the future. And because of rejecting Jesus Christ, a non-believer has forfeited the peace that surpasseth all understanding.

Most of humans are programed to not be happy because we choose to focus on the things we don't want instead of what we do really want. We keep saying that we want peace on earth, however, results show that we want war. We all have to be aligned with our true feelings in order for all humans to be be in concensus with world peace.

Ignorance. <----- period!

If we were simply more educated, overall, there would be world peace. It is simply lack of knowledge (i.e. of the sciences, religions, arts, cultures, philosophies, etc.).

There is a reason why most jobs require at least a high school diploma.
There is a most definite connection between violence and ignorance.
There is a clear link between knowledge and personal choice.

Answer: ignorance is the problem.

The same reason you cannot find inner 'peace'. You are looking outside of your 'self' to get what you think will make you 'happy' and the pursuit is causing misery.

Your pursuit is only the localized version of what your society does. You want to protect what you see as your 'property' and want what someone else has too. It is only a natural progression that your society would reflect this inner conflict.

Without war how would we be able to define peace?

I mean if war were completely unkown, would we know what peace was?

Some things are so intertwined that we cannot know one without the other hot/cold, up/down or in/out.

Beliefs. Emotional states that lead to aggression and violence are the result of maintaining beliefs. As a species, we are rarely willing to review our own beliefs, let alone change them when they are the source of that aggression.

Anger, for example, is the result of holding a belief about fairness. Most people are unwilling to change their beliefs about fairness. They, as a result, will spend a life in finding ways to deal with anger.
