a note. the ship just sits atop a shelf somewhere collecting dust and being admired by no one. the note in the bottle is going somewhere, travelling across the ocean.

I would be the note and when someone found the bottle they would open it to read a wonderful poem about how it felt to drift around and see sights that no one else had seen and of course in the note would be a big thank you

I would rather be the ship. The note will be read once and discarded, left to become a part of one's faulty memory. The ship however is something that could be viewed and examined time and again, passed on to generations.

A note in a bottle, so I would be mysterious and you would have to open me up to fingure out what I had to say. A boat is simply a trinket, but a note could change someone's life.
