We had a house fire a while ago and are going to repaint our porch-the paint only has smoke damage. Should we strip the entire porch or just sand off the loose paint before we put on new paint?

What are the Seven Wonders?

How were they chosen?

Aren't there the current wonders and then the ancient wonders?

Thanks so much for any answers you have!

Any other info you know would also be appreciated!

I understand that winners write history, but it should be objective and not biased. History is written through the eyes and worldview of the a Historian. I am not a revisionist. History does not change; our values change with time, so I think is time to rethink the way we describe when these two cultures met for the first time. I know that the Vikings were the first ones, but it was not significant, because nothing significant happened after that.

So let's say you see the future, and you see the following: You find the love of your life, get rich doing what you love, and are surrounded by people you like being around. Then, it all comes crashing down, and you lose everything, never to reach that level of happiness again. Knowing that, would you be willing to go down that road to achieve that level of happiness, or would you avoid it, because you know it will lead to misfortune?

Inmerstok and Innstok are the towns. They are listed on my great-grandfather's death certificate as the birthplaces of his parents. My mom and I have been combing the web and can't find a map or anything of them in any page. The certificate is done in kind of messy cursive, so maybe I'm reading it wrong/they are spelled wrong? I've tried other variations (Inmerstok, for example) and still nothing. Any help would be nice to have!

I have heard that it is I have heard that its is not. I have been forbade to read the books from my parents but I am 18 now and have done it anyway! I was wondering what you guys thought! And if harry potter dies in the last book as I guess he will for the good of the world...then comes back to life does that make it a christian book! I saw a quote from rowling saying “Rowling initially was afraid that if people were aware of her Christian faith, she would give away too much of what's coming in the series. "If I talk too freely about that," she told a Canadian reporter, "I think the intelligent reader — whether ten [years old] or sixty — will be able to guess what is coming in the books."”
What do you think?

it seem like his private language arument seems to be widely accepted in the philosophy world. pretty much fact.

but are there any VALID arguments against it? or was it a failed attempt by a person who misread wittgenstein (like alot of critics do)?

Why do some christians believe that the Harry Potter books teach evil things or that the author JKR is against Christianity? When they haven't even read the inside flap that explains about the story or watched the movies, they just asume it's evil, I mean they don't even know what it's really about. I'm Christian and I don't see where it is a threat to Christianity. There are plenty of other books that are far more worse than Harry Potter. It is a FICTIONAL book meaning everything is made up. I just don't get it. Please will someone fill me in on something that just doesn't make sense to me?
