No we should not raise taxes, we should elect some penny pinchers to office so they aren't paying thousands of dollars for stuff that costs the average American a few cents! And if finish up this war in Iraq and bring our boys home, we can afford to provide health insurance for everyone! Maybe take some lessons from the nations that already have national health insurance in place!

ABSOLUTELY NOT! It is cheaper to buy insurance or pay for our own care. The government can not run anything efficiently. Not only would we be working for less we would not be able to get the quality of care that we have now. Maybe those without insurance need to make it a priority. There are plenty of jobs with benefits. Yes, I have to pay 400 dollars a month to be insured but it is worth it and I can get health care when I choose and don't have to take an ambulance to a hospital just to get to see a doctor. Socialism will destroy us!

I agree with you, the government takes enough of our money through taxes. AND several of the people that want a raise in taxes are not even citizens and need the health insurance.

Well, if it were only to cover the uninsured, maybe not. However, such a proposed plan would cover everyone, so those currently paying for their health insurance wouldn't have to, thus saving more money than they would pay out for taxes.

No we should not raise taxes. As of right now, we are doing okay with domestic growth.If taxes are increased spending slows, economy slows, gov't gets Less in tax revenue. Lower taxes to increase the amount the gov't gets. And in no way should the government get involved in healthcare. They would screw it up badly.

No I think we should all pay a flat sales tax at the register regardless of income.... Abolish the IRS and every pay the same sales tax when you make a purchase. Make sit even for all

Actually if the government provided the same services as other governments such as Sweden, Iceland, Uk, etc I wouldn't mind paying taxes because you will get money in the long run.
