Try the Shadow Children book series by Margaret Peterson Haddix. Make sure you read them in order though. Here is the order (because she doesn't put the number on the spine.):
Among the Hidden
Among the Imposters
Among the Betrayed
Among the Barons

Try We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. It is an amazing book by an amazing author. When I was a teenager, i wore out 2 copies.
Next, try The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things. It has won many awards. You will enjoy it.
Lastly, try the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson. Max is a great image for young women.

Nothing to do with you age but the new Harry Potter book is coming out.
Eragon and Elders are good books.
The hobbit, which if you like you can move on to Lord of the Rings
I think the Garth Nix series, (sabriel, Lirael abhorosen) is amazing, I read it when I was 14/15.

I would suggest Twilight and New Moon by Stephanie Meyer. If you love romance, fantasy, vampires, and stuff like that than you'll definitely love these two book that give a twist to it all.
P.S. : The Third book comes out in August.

Check out the Kiki Strike mysteries (she's a super-spy, and with the help of her friends, she discovers a city beneath New York), or any of Tamora Pierce's wonderful books (I like the Page, Squire, Knight series.)
Happy reading!

Read.... Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. It is about a little girl and follows her as she becomes a young woman. It is fiction, taking place in NYC and California in the 1800s. Also read The Last Sin-Eater by Francine Rivers. It is also about a young girl. You will love them both!
