Inmerstok and Innstok are the towns. They are listed on my great-grandfather's death certificate as the birthplaces of his parents. My mom and I have been combing the web and can't find a map or anything of them in any page. The certificate is done in kind of messy cursive, so maybe I'm reading it wrong/they are spelled wrong? I've tried other variations (Inmerstok, for example) and still nothing. Any help would be nice to have!

I suggest you quit beating your brains out and go straight to the source. Contact the Irish Genealogical Society and let them assist you. It may cost a little, but if you consider it a worthy cause, you shouldn't mind.

These links may be helpful:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_towns_in_the_Republic_of_Ireland

http://www.goireland.com/search/search_town_listI.htm

http://www.cyndislist.com/ireland.htm

Is there any other identifying information about the place? Like a county perhaps? That could narrow it down substantially.

Good luck,
Dave

I haven't played with genuki in quite some time, but as I remember, the resources were really in depth ones.
