I am auditioning for a musical theater college and I need a good audition song. I am an alto and the song needs to not be well known. So NOTHING from shows like Wicked, Phantom, Les Mis, Jekylle & Hyde, or shows like that. It also has to be two minutes or 32 bars long. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know this question sounds ridiculous. I have a very conservative friend and we had a discussion about marriage and civil unions. He claimed that Julius Caeser had a civil union with a HORSE. I wasn't even aware that civil unions existed one thousand years ago. Can anyone tell me if this is true, or if not, what he might have been thinking of?

I need to have 32 bars of music to sing, and I'm an alto. I feel comfortable singing higher for them (about up to a C, so long as it goes there, then gets back down to my normal range, instead of just being stuck there). I realize that in order to sing the music in the show, I need to be a bit higher, but for the audition, I just want to sound good, and singing by myself for the audition, I'm going to be extremely nervous, which will make it harder for me to sing too high... I was thinking maybe a show tune, but I just want to look professional and get my point across that I want a part and can sing it, so I'm not really sure... Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Even if we assume that God doesn't agree with some things the Church says he would still have a moral code that would differ from some people.

So suppose someone was a great person but he was gay, and let's assume in reality gays pisses God off. Is it fair of God to condemn him just because of his sexual preference?

I took some Salsa lessons and I loved it, but they were just group lessons. Should I take private lessons and if so what should I look for? I am 5 feet three inches and about 118 pounds and I have background in ballet, jazz, and tap.

Ghostlights were shimmering against the blue,

as time and life were flying by.

Crisp air filled my lungs with dew,

drenched in thoughts of you and I.

An unfinished puzzle left on the floor,

pieces all strewn in the shape of doubt.

Forever wanting just a little more,

until reality decides what we can live without.
