i am trying to get a broad historical overview of the world. i never read history but just recently got into it when i read A VISION UNFULFILLED by John M Thompson

the book is about russian history, its very detailed but well written, its kind of story like , not alot of analysis on his part and i prefer that.

Childrens books for geenral world overview and then good literaary detailed books on Roman history, European history and Russian history. And anythign else you think its really a must readbut not in the scholarly sence

Sometimes, it takes a loss of a near one for us to realise how much we miss them, and what all we want to talk to them about. Have you ever felt this way after a loss?

Did you ever wish for one chance, a single chance, to speak to him/her and tell them all that you wanted to tell them? To tell them how much you miss them, how much you love them, how much they mean to you, but were never able to tell them, or even, rant and rage over something that they did to you?

Only serious answers please...

Non-Violence is an integral part of Gandhian philosophy. by "non-violence" did he mean only being non-violent in terms of actions...OR did he also mean being non violent in terms of emotions too?
today in terms of relevance, which will bring peace faster....non-violent actions? OR non-violent emotions?
