That for chaos to exist there must have been order in it firstly.

That order was made to disperse and become confused.

That we don't know enough about structure to theorise everything returns to chaos.

Otherwise, why do we find that every thing follows set patterns of operation, rather than randomness, when left to its devices?

It tells us there's a whole lot about it that can't be predicted, so we should take all the stories, philosophies, religions, and other metaphysical explanations with a couple of kilotons of salt.
